E-Track partners

The consortium consists of a software company (Noldus Information Technology) with many years of experience in measurement and analysis of animal behaviour; a manufacturer of wildlife telemetry hardware (Biotrack); a consulting firm in the domain of remote sensing and geo-informatics (AeroVision); a university group with expertise in behaviour and ecology of large mammals (Resource Ecology Group, Wageningen University); and two research institutes with expertise in behavioural ecology of birds (Netherlands Institute of Ecology and Leibniz Institute for Zoo and Wildlife Research).

If you wish to contact the E-Track consortium you can send us an email.

Tomkiewicz et al. (2010) wrote “For the promise of new GPS, emerging GNSS and associated technologies to be fulfilled, engineers and biologists will need to work in partnership, share needs, understand limitations and be aware of emerging opportunities”. That’s precisely what happens in the E-Track project: A balanced consortium of three SMEs and three knowledge institutes with end-users of wildlife telemetry.
